- Ground black pepper - To taste
- Bay leaf - 1 piece
- Water - 750-800 Milliliters (or vegetable broth)
- Greens - To taste

How to make Lentil Soup with Sauerkraut

Prepare all ingredients.

Wash the potatoes, peel, cut into cubes. Wash the carrots, peel, grate on a coarse grater. Cut the onion into small cubes. Rinse the lentils.

Pour water into a saucepan, add lentils and bring to a boil. Add potatoes and cook for 20 minutes.

At this time, fry the onions and carrots until golden brown.

Add sauerkraut. If it is long, you can pre-cut it. Simmer all together for 5 minutes.

Then add the tomato paste and simmer for another 2-3 minutes.

Add the stir-fry to the soup. Then bay leaves, salt and pepper to taste. Cook for another 5-7 minutes. Add finely chopped greens at the end.
