Each housewife will surely have her own proven recipe, I will show one of the options according to which they cook in our family. A small amount of adjika in borscht gives it a special taste and aroma. Adjika can be used in store, but if you have your own cooking in the bins, then this is only a plus. You can cook borscht using water or any meat broth.

- Cabbage - 200 Grams
- Potatoes - 3-4 Pieces
- Onion - 1 Piece
- Carrots - 1 Piece
- Beets - 1 Piece
- Garlic - 2-3 Cloves
- Sugar - 0.5 Art. spoons
- Bay leaf - 2 pieces
- Adjika - 1.5 Teaspoons
- Water - 2-2.5 Liters
- Salt - To taste
- Spices - To taste
How to cook "Borsch with adjika"
Prepare all ingredients.
Pour meat stock or water into a saucepan. Add salt to taste, bay leaf and bring to a boil.
Add finely chopped cabbage to boiling water.
After 5-10 minutes, add the diced potatoes.
Heat oil in a skillet. Arrange grated carrots and diced onions.
Fry the vegetables until soft and add the grated beets on a coarse grater.
When the beets are ready, add sugar, adjika and spices.
Continue to fry everything together for about 2-3 minutes. When the frying is done, transfer the contents of the skillet to the pot.
Add chopped garlic and chopped herbs a couple of minutes before all ingredients are ready. If you are cooking in broth, add the boiled meat at the same time. Let the prepared soup steep for 10-15 minutes.
Borsch with adjika is ready.
