In some versions of Kokada recipes, condensed milk is added at the end and boiled down. If you wish, you can also add it, but the candies are very sweet and tasty even without it. Very sweet, creamy, soft on the inside, with a light crispy crust. Coconut lovers will especially like this dessert.

How to cook "Kokada"

Prepare all ingredients.

Pierce the coconut, drain and smash.

Separate the shell from the coconut. Then use a vegetable peeler to remove the brown layer.

Grate the coconut on a coarse grater. Weigh it.

Transfer the coconut to a saucepan, add an equal amount of sugar. You need to take 3 times less water.

Place the sugar and coconut over high heat. Add water and stir constantly until syrup forms. Cook until all the syrup is absorbed into the coconut and the mixture is thick and sticky.

Shape with candy spoons. Place on plastic wrap or baking sheet. Leave it for half an hour to cool down the candy.
