Remember that it is better to remove open shells with mussels right away - they are not cooked. Do the same if the shell did not open after cooking.

Ingredients:
- Mussels - 200 Grams
- Onion - 1 Piece
- Green onions - 2-3 pieces
- Cheese "Dor Blue" - 120 Gram
- Cream - 150 Milliliters (10% fat or water)
- Ground black pepper - 1 Pinch
- Salt - 2 Pinches
- Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp. the spoon

How to cook "Mussels in Blue Cheese Sauce"

Prepare the indicated ingredients.

Peel the onions and rinse or replace with leeks, if you have one. Cut into small cubes and sauté in vegetable oil until soft, about 2-3 minutes.

Place the mussels in the skillet. If they were frozen, thaw them in advance about 15-20 minutes before cooking at room temperature. You can add them frozen, but then increase the stewing time by about 2-3 minutes. Remember that mussels are sold cooked-frozen, so you only need 4-5 minutes.

Grate the Dor Blue cheese on a fine mesh grater and add to the container. Pour in cream or hot water.

Bring the contents of the container to a boil and stir well to dissolve the cheese slices in the liquid. Taste the sauce, add salt and pepper if necessary. Simmer the mussels in the sauce for about 2-3 minutes, but only on moderate heat so that the sauce does not curl. Finally, rinse the green onions, chop and add to the container. Turn off heating.

Let the dish cool slightly - 2-3 minutes.

Put the mussels in sauce on plates or bowls, serve the dish warm with croutons, toast, croutons.
