Potato casserole turns out to be not only very tasty, but also satisfying. Excellent variety of daily menu. The ingredients are the simplest and the preparation does not require any special culinary talent. It is quite simple to prepare the Kharya casserole, but you will have to make a little effort, because the potatoes are grated for it. The result is worth it, you should definitely try it!

- Potatoes - 1 Kilogram
- Onion - 1 Piece
- Cabbage - 150 Grams
- Minced meat - 400 gram
- Butter - 50 grams
- Salt - To taste
- Spices - To taste

How to cook "Kharya casserole"

Prepare all ingredients.

Grate 2/3 of the potatoes on a coarse grater and squeeze.

Cut the remaining potatoes into thin strips.

Add shredded cabbage and diced onions.

Add minced meat, salt and spices to taste.

Mix everything well. The filling is ready.

Grease a baking dish with oil and lay out half of the grated potatoes, forming small sides. Season the potatoes with salt to taste and sprinkle with ground pepper or whatever spices you like.

Place the filling and rub the butter on top.

Spread the remaining grated potatoes on top and press well on all sides with your hands. Sprinkle the potatoes with salt and the remaining grated butter. Bake in the oven at 200 degrees until golden brown on top and potatoes are tender. Depending on the characteristics of the oven and potato varieties, it can take from 1 to 1.5 hours.

The Kharya casserole is ready.

Cut into portions and serve. Enjoy your meal!
Chef's advice:
Fresh cabbage for the filling can be replaced with sauerkraut or mushrooms. If the top of the casserole begins to dry out, and the potatoes are not yet ready, then simply brush it generously with sour cream and cover with foil.
