How to make Apple Almond Jam

Prepare all ingredients.

Peel the apples, core them and cut into wedges. Peel the ginger and chop finely.

Lay the apples and ginger in layers in a saucepan. Sprinkle each layer with sugar. Leave it on for 6-8 hours.

Pour in water, bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and leave for 10-12 hours.

Bring the jam to a boil again, cook for another 15-20 minutes.

Using a fine grater, grate the lemon zest. Add the lemon zest 5 minutes before the jam is ready.

Chop the almonds with a knife, then fry in a pan for 3 minutes.

Add almonds to hot jam.
