- Milk - 200 Milliliters
- Fresh yeast - 20 grams

- Butter - 60 grams
- Vanilla sugar - 10 grams
- Wheat flour - 450 grams
- Chicken egg - 1 Piece
- Powdered sugar - 100 Grams
- Poppy - 70 Gram

How to make Poppy Seed Buns

Prepare the ingredients for making buns.

Crush yeast into a bowl. Add a tablespoon of sugar.

Pour in warm milk.

Let stand for 10-15 minutes. After this time, the yeast will begin to foam.

Add the egg.

Pour in melted butter.

Add vanilla sugar, 4 more tablespoons of sugar, salt and sifted flour.

Knead the dough. It will stick to your hands a little.

Place the bowl of dough in a warm place. In an hour and a half, it will increase in volume.

Remove the dough from the bowl and crush it. Roll into a rectangular bed.

Prepare the filling. Put the poppy in a saucepan, cover with water (100 ml). Bring to a boil and cook for 7-8 minutes. Then drain the water. Add sugar to the poppy seeds to taste and beat with a blender. Spread the poppy seed filling over the dough.

Roll the dough into a roll.

Cut the roll into 3-4 centimeters wide pieces.

Shape into buns and place in a baking dish. Let the buns sit warm for 25-30 minutes. Then brush with an egg and send to the oven.

Bake buns at 175-180 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

Prepare the icing. Pour icing sugar into a bowl, pour a tablespoon of milk and stir. Adjust the thickness of the glaze to your liking. Pour the icing on the buns. Can be served with tea.
