How to cook "American dumplings"

Prepare all the ingredients for the American style dumplings.

Peel, wash and grate the carrots. Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan and add grated carrots.

Wash the leeks, wipe them off and cut the white part into quarters lengthwise. Chop the onion thinly and place in the skillet with carrots.

Wash the tomato, cut it in half and cut the peel thinly. Cut the tomato into cubes and place in the vegetable skillet.

Fry vegetables over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring.

Bring the broth to a boil, season with salt and pepper and add the fried vegetables.

Add chopped spinach and dumplings to a saucepan. Cook for 10-15 minutes, until the dumplings are ready. Remove from heat and serve immediately with sour cream and herbs.
