How to cook "Mulled wine with star anise"
Prepare the indicated ingredients.
Rinse the apples in water, cut into quarters and remove the seed blocks. Cut each quarter into slices directly into the saucepan.
Peel the tangerine from the peel and white fibers, divide the fruit into slices. If there are bones in them, remove them. You can use an orange instead of a tangerine.
Pour granulated sugar into a saucepan to the fruit, add cinnamon sticks and star anise. You can replace the sticks with ground cinnamon.
Pour in hot water and place the pot on the stove, boil the compote for 7-10 minutes.
As soon as apples and citrus fruits give the liquid their color, taste and aroma, reduce the heat to the minimum.
Pour red wine into a container and bring the liquid to a near boil, but do not boil. Turn off the heat and let the mulled wine cool for about 10 minutes.
Then pour the drink into glasses, cups or tin mugs and serve warm.
