How to cook "Herring under a fur coat with red caviar"

Prepare the ingredients for the salad.

Boil potatoes, cool, peel and grate. Place on a plate in the first layer. Cover with mayonnaise.

Cut herring fillets into small pieces and place on top of the potatoes. Cover with a layer of mayonnaise.

Peel, wash and finely chop the onions. This will be the next layer. Apply mayonnaise.

Hard boil the eggs. Refrigerate and clean. Grate and place on a layer of onion. Brush with mayonnaise.

Peel and grate boiled carrots. Lay out the next layer. Brush with mayonnaise.

Boil the beets, chill and peel. Grate. This will be the last layer of the salad.
