- Carrots - 1 Piece
- Radish - 1 Piece
- Salt - 1-1.5 Art. spoons
- Sugar - 1 Tbsp. the spoon
- Mustard - To taste (beans)
- Cumin Seeds - To taste

How to cook "Old Russian Sauerkraut"

Prepare all ingredients.

Chop the cabbage thinly.

Grate the carrots on a coarse grater.

Combine carrots and cabbage. Add salt, sugar, crushed cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Knead it with your hands.

Peel and grate the radish, add to the rest of the vegetables. Remember with your hands again.

Transfer to a clean, sterilized jar. Tamp down well. Put the oppression so that the cabbage is completely covered with juice. Leave for 5-7 days at room temperature. Pierce with a wooden stick periodically to release gases.

Then refrigerate the cabbage for 2 days.

Old Russian sauerkraut is ready!
