Below I will tell you in more detail how to make a lean cake. It is made with the simplest ingredients. As a filling, you can use raisins, candied fruits or nuts. From the amount of these ingredients, two cakes weighing 350 grams are obtained. Plant-based milk is suitable for any: soy, oatmeal or nut milk. This is a classic yeast cake. It turns out to be moderately sweet, fluffy and very tasty.

Ingredients:
- Yeast - 14 grams (dry)
- Plant-based milk - 1 Cup (warm)
- Flour - 300 grams (100 grams - for dough, 200 grams - for cake)
- Vegetable oil - 1/3 Cup
- Flaxseed flour - 2 Tbsp. spoons
- Water - 6 Art. spoons (warm)
- Sugar - 140 Grams
- Vanillin - 1-2 Pinch
- Salt - 1 Pinch
- Dried cranberries - To taste
- Orange - 1 Piece
- Powdered sugar - 120 Grams
- Lemon juice - 5-6 Teaspoons

How to cook "Lenten Easter cake"

Prepare all ingredients.

Dissolve yeast with warm vegetable milk.

Add flour, leave in a warm place until the dough doubles.

To make a flaxseed egg (egg substitute), dilute flaxseed flour with warm water and wait a couple of minutes.

Then pour vegetable oil into the dough, add sugar, vanillin, flaxseed egg, salt and the remaining flour. Knead to a homogeneous dough.

Cover with plastic wrap and leave in a warm place until the dough has doubled.

Grate the lemon zest, pour boiling water over the cranberries if they are dry.

Add them to the dough.

Fill the form halfway with dough. Let the dough rise for 15 minutes. Bake the cake at 150 degrees for about 50 minutes.

For icing, add lemon juice to the icing sugar, stir. Apply the icing to the cake.

Decorate the top with nuts, dried cranberries, or pastry sprinkles.
