With great pleasure I will share with you a recipe on how to cook dumplings in a cauldron. The recipe is interesting and certainly deserves attention. Dumplings can be pre-prepared by yourself or you can use purchased ones. You can safely combine vegetables to your liking, depending on the season.

Main Ingredient: Meat / Flour / Minced Meat
Dish: Hot dishes / Dumplings
- Minced meat - 400 gram
- Onion - 2 Pieces
- Tomato - 1 Piece
- Sweet pepper - 0.5 pieces
- Egg - 1 Piece
- Carrots - 1 Piece
- Garlic - 2-3 Cloves
- Flour - 300-400 Grams
- Water - 150 Milliliters
- Vegetable oil - 2-3 tbsp. spoons
- Salt - To taste
- Spices - To taste
How to cook "Pelmeni in a cauldron"
Prepare all ingredients.
Combine egg and water in a deep bowl. Add 0.5 tsp. salt, 1 tbsp. vegetable oil, mix everything and add flour in parts. Knead a firm and elastic dough, gather it into a ball, cover with a towel and leave for 20 minutes.
For the filling, combine the minced meat and the onion, cut into small cubes. Add salt and ground black pepper to taste and mix well. For juiciness, you can add a little ice water.
Cut a piece from the dough, roll it out with a "sausage" and cut the dough into small pieces. Dip each piece in flour, roll and place the minced meat in the center, then form a dumpling in any convenient way. In this way, prepare all the dumplings.
Pour oil into a cauldron, heat it and put grated carrots and diced onions.
Fry vegetables until soft, add bell pepper, chopped into small strips.
Fry everything together for two minutes and add the grated tomato pulp (I discard the skin). Add finely diced garlic and your favorite spices to taste.
Continue simmering everything together for 3-5 minutes.
Then add boiling water and salt to taste. The amount of water depends on the desired thickness and volume of the dumplings. Bring everything to a boil and add the dumplings.
Cook everything together until cooked through. At the end, if desired, you can add fresh herbs.
You can serve dumplings with broth, or just like that. Enjoy your meal!
