Cooking description:
I will tell you more about how to make amber jam from pears below. This jam is cooked like candied fruits, that is, it is brought to a boil, then it cools down and is repeated a couple of times. Choose firm and firm varieties to keep pears in texture. If desired, the jam can be flavored with cinnamon, vanilla or anise. You will have to tinker with the preparation, but the result is worth it!

How to make "Amber Pear Jam"

Prepare all ingredients.

Wash the pears, peel and remove the core. Cut into slices 5-7 mm thick.

Transfer the pears to a saucepan, add sugar at once. Bring to a boil over low heat and cook for 5-7 minutes.

Turn off the heat and wait until it cools completely. The pears will still be soggy and float in the syrup.

When the jam has cooled, turn the heat back on, bring to a boil and cook for 5-7 minutes. The pear wedges will decrease in size and the syrup will become thicker and more amber in color.

Repeat the process of cooking and cooling the jam 2-3 more times until you achieve the desired thickness.

Then place the jam in pre-sterilized jars.

Amber jam is ready, bon appetit!
