If you don't have pickled cucumbers at home, it doesn't matter, pickle can be cooked with sauerkraut. The soup is pleasantly sour, rich and delicious. In addition to cabbage, take pearl barley and a classic set of vegetables: potatoes, onions and carrots. Use chicken or other meat broth as a base.

- Chicken broth - 2.5 L
- Sauerkraut - 250 Grams
- Pearl barley - 80 Grams
- Potatoes - 200 Grams
- Carrots - 70 Grams
- Onions - 70 Grams
- Vegetable oil - 40 grams
- Salt - To taste
- Black Pepper - To taste

How to cook "Pickle with sauerkraut"

Prepare your ingredients.

Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes.

Add prepared potatoes to boiling chicken stock.

Pour washed pearl barley into the broth. Bring the broth to a boil and skim off the froth if it has formed. Cook the soup for 20 minutes until the potatoes and pearl barley are cooked through. Season with salt to taste.

Now add the sauerkraut and cook everything together for another 10 minutes.

Chop vegetables for frying. Dice the onion and grate the carrots.

Fry the onions and carrots in vegetable oil until soft.

Add vegetable frying to the soup and boil for 3-4 minutes.

The soup is ready.
