How to cook "Manti on a vegetable pillow"

Prepare all ingredients.

Combine water, egg and butter in a deep bowl. Add 0.5 tsp. salt and beat a little.

Add flour in portions.

Knead a firm and elastic dough, gather it into a ball, cover with a towel and leave for 20-30 minutes.

Grind the meat with a meat grinder or blender.

Add diced onions, salt and spices to taste to the minced meat. Mix everything well.

Pinch off a piece from the dough, roll it out with a sausage and cut into pieces. Roll each piece in flour on both sides.

Roll out the dough in a circle and place the filling in the center.

Form the manti in any convenient way. Thus, it is necessary to prepare all the manti.

Cut the tomatoes and onions into cubes. Grate the carrots and cut the pepper into small strips.

Fry vegetables in vegetable oil until soft.

Distribute the manti at a short distance from each other on top.

Combine sour cream and tomato paste separately. Add salt, ground black pepper to taste and pour boiling water in a thin stream. Pour the prepared sauce over the manti with vegetables. The sauce should be so much that it covers the manti a little more than half. Bring everything to a boil, cover the skillet with a lid and simmer over low heat for about 45 minutes.
