How to cook "Boats with Chicken"

Prepare all ingredients. Defrost the puff pastry in advance at room temperature.

Cut the onion into cubes and fry until soft.

Add the chicken fillet, cut into small pieces. Add provencal herbs, salt and pepper to taste.

Mix everything and fry for about 2-3 minutes, until the meat turns white.

Roll each layer of dough alternately on a floured surface, approximately 3-4 mm thick. Cut the dough into squares, depending on the desired size of the boats themselves. I made 12 pieces from two layers of dough. Place a little filling in the center of each slice.

Sprinkle the grated cheese on the filling liberally.

Connect the edges by lifting them slightly from the sides with your hands to make a kind of boats.

Transfer the blanks to a baking sheet covered with parchment, brush with whipped yolk and bake in the oven at 180-200 degrees for about 20-25 minutes.

The chicken boats are ready.

Enjoy your meal!
