How to cook "Cabbage for the winter in jars"

Prepare your ingredients.

Remove a couple of top leaves from the cabbage, chop the vegetable into thin strips. You can use either a sharp knife or a cabbage grater.

Combine the cabbage and carrots in a bowl.

Pour in salt, sugar, peppercorns, mix well and rub with your hands so that the juice comes out.

Place the cabbage in a jar, pressing down. Leave on the table for 2-3 days, covered with a lid. The cabbage will become juicy and ferment.

Move the cabbage to the refrigerator or cellar where it will be stored throughout the winter.
