Cooking description:
It is very simple to prepare a sponge cake with orange zest, it rises well and has a porous airy structure. If you will use it in the future for making cakes, then use a round shape with a diameter of 27-30 cm. Please note that the smaller the shape, the higher the biscuit will be. I baked it in the oven, but you can also bake it in a multicooker. Use the Bake function and cook until you hear a beep.

How to make "Sponge cake with orange zest"

Prepare all ingredients.

Combine eggs and sugar in a deep bowl.

Whisk with a blender or mixer for 7-10 minutes until it expands 2.5-3 times and a white, airy foam appears.

Add salt, vanillin, baking powder and flour in portions. Stir the dough with a spatula each time, using gentle strokes from top to bottom.

Add orange zest at the very end.

Pour the dough into a baking dish, cover the bottom of which with parchment. I do not smear anything on the paper or the form. I have a rectangular shape, but if you are going to use a biscuit for making a cake in the future, then you can take a round one with a diameter of at least 27-30 cm.

Bake the sponge cake in the oven at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes. Check readiness with a wooden skewer or toothpick.

I served a sponge cake with tea, sprinkled with powdered sugar on top. Enjoy your meal!
