- Cabbage - 300 Grams

- Vegetable oil - 30 Milliliters
- Salt - To taste
- Ground black pepper - To taste

How to cook "Stewed cabbage with barley"

Prepare all ingredients. Fill the groats with water in advance and leave for several hours. I leave for the night.

As soon as the pearl barley is infused, rinse it well under running water.

Then fill the cereal with clean cold water. Salt a little and boil until tender. This will take approximately 40 minutes.

Cut the onion into cubes. Grate the carrots.

Fry vegetables in a skillet in vegetable oil until soft.

Chop the cabbage and add to the onions and carrots.

Once the cabbage is juiced and soft, add the tomato paste, chopped garlic, sugar and salt to taste.

Simmer vegetables, stirring occasionally over low heat, until cooked through. In the process, you can add a little water.

Now combine the cabbage with the finished pearl barley.

Mix everything and heat for 5-7 minutes. Stewed cabbage with barley is ready.
