Cooking description:
Sea buckthorn compote will help to restore strength in the autumn-winter and spring periods, when the body is especially lacking in vitamins. You can harvest such a compote not only from one sea buckthorn, but also combine it with other berries or fruits. I indicated the number of ingredients in one liter jar. If you have a larger jar, then increase the ingredients proportionally accordingly.

How to cook "Sea buckthorn compote for the winter"

Prepare all ingredients.

Peel the berries from leaves and twigs and rinse well.

Arrange the berries in sterilized jars, about 1/3 full.

Pour boiling water over the berries, cover the jars with lids and leave to infuse for 10 minutes.

Then drain the water, add sugar and bring to a boil while stirring.

Pour the berries over with the resulting syrup and screw the jars with sterile lids. Turn the jars upside down, wrap them up and leave to cool, then store the finished sea buckthorn compote in a cool place.

Happy blanks!
Chef's advice:
Those who love variety can put something special in each jar, for example: tarragon or mint, lemon peel or a few slices of Japanese quince.
