Jellied pie dough is great with yogurt. However, you can replace yogurt with any fermented milk product by adding a little flour. The main thing is that the dough should be light and airy. It is also important not to overdry the cake in the oven.

How to make Cod Liver Pie
Beat the egg, yolk and salt until fluffy. Pour in the butter in a thin stream, whisking. Add yogurt and stir with a spatula.
Pour in the flour sifted with baking soda and quickly mix the light dough with a spatula.
Pour some of the dough into a greased mold. Spread slices of boiled eggs on top (it is better if they are boiled in a bag), pieces of cod liver without oil. Pepper the filling.
Sprinkle with chopped green onions on top and cover with the second part of the dough. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees until a beautiful golden brown crust. The toothpick should come out of the pie dry.
Gently remove the finished cake on the wire rack and cool until warm. This cake is especially tasty when it is warm.
Slice and serve.
