How to cook "Bulgur and Lentil Soup"
Prepare all the ingredients you need. Wash and peel vegetables.
Rinse bulgur, lentils and dip in boiling water. After boiling, simmer for 20 minutes over low heat. During this time, we will prepare the frying.
Cut onions, carrots and peppers into small cubes. Remove the skin from the tomatoes and mash with a fork and juice. Fry onions, carrots and peppers in vegetable oil. Add the tomatoes last and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Add cumin if desired.
After the bulgur and lentils have been cooked, add the frying to the soup, salt to taste and cook for a couple of minutes. You can add a pinch of sugar to balance the flavor. Then turn off the stove and let the soup steep for 20-30 minutes so that it is filled with all the flavors and aromas.
Serve with fresh cilantro. Enjoy your meal!
