What could be easier than making stewed cabbage ?! Nevertheless, this very simple dish can become, if not a culinary masterpiece, then a wonderful side dish for poultry, meat or fish. Pumpkin lends its indescribable sweetness to cabbage, onions and carrots. Garlic adds flavor and a little spiciness. Of the seasonings, I used only bay leaves, but it can be dried basil, oregano, a mixture of Italian or French herbs.

- Bay leaf - 1 piece

How to cook "Stewed cabbage with pumpkin"
Peel onions and garlic, wash and chop finely. Place in a skillet.
Pour in sunflower oil and simmer for 5-6 minutes, stirring.
Peel the carrots, wash and grate, I took a grater for Korean carrots. Add to the skillet with the onions and garlic.
Peel the pumpkin, wash and cut into small cubes. Place in a skillet. Simmer with onions, garlic and carrots for 5-7 minutes.
Cut the cabbage into thin strips and add to the pan with the rest of the vegetables. Season with salt to taste, add water, cover and simmer the vegetables until almost cooked, stirring occasionally, over a slightly below medium heat.
When the dish is almost ready, add tomato paste and bay leaf, stir. Simmer for another 5-6 minutes and turn off.
Stewed cabbage with pumpkin is ready.
