- Bay leaf - 4 pieces

- Basil - 1 Teaspoon
- Water - 2 Liters

1 Boil water in a saucepan, add salt, sugar and other spices, cook for about 5 minutes. 2 Then remove from heat and add honey. Stir the honey until dissolved, cover the pot and let stand for 5 minutes. 3 Then dip the bacon in the marinade and let stand, covered for 2 hours, or until the marinade has cooled completely. 4 Remove the bacon, dry it, wrap it in foil, smearing it with the rest of the honey.
