This is a recipe for delicious borscht with beef broth. It can be easily replaced with a vegetable one. This broth is cooked from carrots, onions, celery, bay leaf greens, salt, pepper and garlic. You don't have to chop the vegetables, after they give all the aroma to the broth, you don't need vegetables.

  • Beef broth - 1 Liter
  • Onion - 1 Piece
  • Potatoes - 2-3 Pieces
  • Salt - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Beets - 1 Piece
  • Horseradish - 1 Art. the spoon
  • Parsley - 1/2 Bunch
  • Sour cream - 1 tbsp. the spoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp. the spoon

How to cook "Delicious borscht"

1 Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan and add finely chopped onions. Fry it until golden brown. 2 Rinse the potatoes and cut them into cubes. Pour the broth to the onion into the pan and send the chopped potatoes, salt and pepper there. 3 After the broth has boiled, reduce the heat and cook the potatoes for 5-8 minutes. After the potatoes are tender, send the beets to it. Beforehand, it should be washed and cut into cubes or grated. 4 Cover the broth with a lid and keep on low heat until it turns red and the potatoes are tender. 5 In a separate bowl, combine the horseradish and sour cream. Chop the parsley finely. Pour borscht in portions into bowls, add horseradish and sour cream sauce and sprinkle with herbs. 6 Bon appetit!
