How to make "Lazy Pita Pie with Cheese, Potatoes and Herbs"
Rinse the greens and dry well. The set of greens is limited only by your preferences. Dill, green onions and mint are very good in such pies. I also have celery with young stalks and some parsley. Chop the greens not too finely.
Boil the potatoes in their skins, peel and cool. Remove the cheese from the refrigerator.
Grate potatoes and Adyghe cheese on a coarse grater. Pre-grease the grater with oil, so the food will not stick to it. Combine potatoes and cheese with herbs, salt and pepper, add paprika.
Cut a circle out of the pita bread, the size of a shape. Cut the remaining pita bread into 3-4 pieces and place in a split form so that the edges hang outward, and there are 2-3 layers at the bottom. Brush the base with 1 egg.
Place the filling on top of the pita bread. Make four indentations and place the yolks in them.
Whisk the whites with a fork with sour cream and salt, pour this mixture over the filling of the pie.
Fold the edges of the pita bread over the filling, cover with the cut out circle. Top with slices of butter. Bake the pie in an oven preheated to 200 degrees until golden brown and springy filling.
Remove the finished cake from the oven and cover with a towel without removing it from the mold. After 10-15 minutes, carefully remove the sides of the form and transfer the cake to a dish. It is delicious to serve the pie warm, it is also good when cooled. Serve fresh tomatoes with the pie - delicious!
