In summer, tomatoes ripened under the hot sun are especially tasty and sweet. You can cook baked tomato sauce even every day, but I definitely still make such a preparation for the winter. Below, I show you in detail how to make a baked tomato winter sauce.

- Tomato - 1.5 Kilograms
- Carrots - 1-2 Pieces
- Onion - 1 Piece
- Garlic - 2 Cloves
- Olive oil - 3 tbsp. spoons
- Basil - 1 Bunch
- Sugar - 1 Tbsp. spoon (to taste)
- Salt - To taste
- Ground black pepper - To taste
- White wine - 100 Milliliters
- Parsley - 1 Bunch
How to make Baked Tomato Winter Sauce
Wash vegetables and herbs, peel onions, carrots, garlic.
Cut the tomatoes into large slices, put on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and pepper to taste, top with basil leaves. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
Finely chop the onion and garlic, grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Fry in hot oil until golden brown.
Remove the skin from the baked tomatoes, add them to the pan, simmer for 5 minutes.
Transfer the vegetables to a bowl, add sugar and salt to taste, mash until puree with a blender, return to the pan. Pour in white wine, simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes.
The sauce is ready to eat.
To prepare for the winter, pour the hot sauce into sterilized jars, cover with lids. Place the jars in a saucepan, pour warm water over the "shoulders". Bring water to a boil, sterilize for 15 minutes.
