It has been tested over the years and has never let me down, pies always come out! The recipe is very simple, you will need ingredients for making the dough.

How to make Granny's Rice Pies
Boil rice in slightly salted water until tender, cool. Peel and chop the eggs. Wash and dry the dill and chop finely. Add salt to taste and black pepper.
Mix and the filling for the pies is ready.
We mix yeast with sugar.
Add some warm water and stir thoroughly. We put it in a warm place.
After 10 minutes the yeast will rise with such a foamy cap.
Pour the yeast solution into a bowl and add the remaining water, a couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil and salt. Stir, let the salt dissolve. And add flour.
Pour a spoonful of vegetable oil onto your hands and knead the dough with oily hands. It should come off the sides of the bowl and not stick to your hands. Add flour little by little as needed, but no more than a couple of tablespoons.
Cover the dough with a towel and place in a warm place. It rises very quickly.
Divide the dough into 14 parts and put it on a table greased with vegetable oil.
We take a ball of dough and form a thin cake with our hands. Put a little more than a tablespoon of the filling in the middle.
And we sculpt a pie, carefully pinching the edges.
Put all the pies on the table, let them rest for 10 minutes and rise.
Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil and fry the pies on both sides until golden brown. I fry at 6, and there are only 9 divisions on the switch.
