How to cook "Pike perch in tomato sauce"

Peel the zander, gut and cut off the fins. Then wash well inside and out. Cut the fish into slices.

Peel, wash and chop onions and carrots. Place in a heavy-bottomed saucepan.

Pour in sunflower oil and fry the onions and carrots over medium heat for 6-7 minutes, stirring. You do not need to fry too much.

Then put the tomato paste in a saucepan.

Add salt and sugar.

Place the pike perch in a saucepan and pour in 250-300 ml of water. Add bay leaves.

Cover the pot with a lid and simmer the fish over low heat for 20-25 minutes.
