Delicious aromatic dough, no less tasty poppy filling, to which you can add raisins or chopped nuts, you will also like this roll. Cooking!

Ingredients:
- Wheat flour - 300 grams
- Butter - 100 grams
- Poppy - 2/3 Glasses
- Sugar - 1 Glass (2 spoons in the filling, the rest in the dough)
- Sour cream - 3 tbsp. spoons
- Eggs - 2 Pieces (1 in the dough, 1 white in the filling, yolk for greasing the roll)
- Baking powder - 1.5 Teaspoons
- Vanilla Sugar - 1 Teaspoon
- Salt - 1 Pinch

How to cook "Roll with poppy seeds from shortcrust pastry"

1. Mix flour with baking powder, salt, vanilla sugar and sugar.

2. Add cold butter, grind everything into crumbs.

3. Add the egg and sour cream (Greek yogurt can be used instead of sour cream).

4. And knead the dough. It shouldn't stick to your hands. If yours is sticky, you can add a little flour. We wrap the dough in foil and put it in the refrigerator for an hour.

5. In the meantime, let's get down to stuffing. Grind the poppy seeds in a coffee grinder, pour into a saucepan and add half a glass of water. Cook until the liquid has completely evaporated over medium heat. Poppy must be stirred all the time!

6. Mix the cooled poppy with protein and sugar, when the dough has already lain for 1 hour in the refrigerator. Do you like very sweet filling? Add another spoonful of sugar.

7. On parchment lightly sprinkled with flour, roll out the dough into a layer 5-7 mm thick. We will trim the edges.

8. We distribute the filling, not reaching the edge of the layer from the sides about 1.5 cm, and from the opposite edge about 5 cm.

9. And with the help of parchment we wrap it in a roll. Don't fold too tight! We pinch the edges of the roll.

10. Transfer the roll to a baking sheet, grease with whipped yolk and sprinkle with poppy seeds on top. You can use sugar or chopped nuts.

11. Bake in an oven preheated to 190 degrees for 35-40 minutes. But check the roll for readiness, because everyone has different ovens.
