How to make "Pea Soup with Smoked Meat"

1. Rinse a glass of dry peas under running water several times. Drain the water. Pour boiling water over the peas and let them swell. I usually do this at night. In the morning, the peas are ready for further cooking.

2. Place the prepared swollen peas in a saucepan. Pour in water or broth (if you want a rich soup) and cook for about 1.5 hours over medium heat. Boiling water will boil down. Pour only boiled water and under no circumstances salt the peas when cooking. It will take even longer to cook.

3. Cut different types of smoked meats into small cubes.

4. Chop the onions and carrots at random. For carrots, you can use a coarse grater.

5. Fry onions in vegetable oil, add carrots. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add smoked meats. Simmer for 10 minutes.

6. Peel and dice the potatoes. When the peas are tender, puree them with an immersion blender in a saucepan. Now add potatoes to the soup. Cook for 15 minutes.

7. After a while, add frying to the soup. Chop into cubes or grate processed cheese. Add it to your soup. Boil the soup while stirring well. When boiling, the cheese will disperse, create a unique taste, change the color of the soup to milky, and add creamy notes.
