Pour clean drinking water into a saucepan or bowl with high sides. Then open a jar of berry jam and pour it into a bowl of water. Mix thoroughly.
Use a hand blender to whisk the entire contents of the bowl or saucepan. You should get a homogeneous mass.
Take a fine sieve and rub the entire contents of the saucepan through it. The resulting mass should not contain seeds or peels from the berries.
Put the resulting liquid on the stove in a saucepan and turn on low heat. Bring the liquid to a boil, add a pinch of citric acid to it.
Take a glass or bowl. Pour a small amount of clean water into it and add five tablespoons of starch. Mix everything thoroughly to dissolve the starch.
While the jelly is boiling, pour the starch diluted with water into a saucepan in a thin stream, without ceasing to stir the contents of the pan. Wait until the jelly boils and immediately remove it from the stove. Cool and serve.
