For this recipe, I use fresh (not pickled) herring. There are recipes that use baked fish. The appetizer is served with crackers, tortillas or pita bread. Preparing "Farshmag" is very simple: all ingredients are mixed in a blender until smooth and cooled.

How to cook "Farshmag" from herring "
1 Wash and peel sour green apples, remove seeds and tail, cut into small pieces. 2 Peel and dice the onion, peel the boiled chicken eggs and cut the herring into pieces. 3 Place the bread in a bowl and cover with milk, leave for 15 minutes to soak well. 4 Put onion, eggs, apple, fish, bread in a blender bowl and beat until smooth, add apple cider vinegar and olive oil, granulated sugar, mix. 5 Send the snack to the refrigerator for 1 hour, then serve.
