Any white fish is suitable for making a pie, as well as red (salmon, salmon, trout, etc.). I use smoked cod in this recipe, which makes the baked goods taste even more interesting. The pie can be served with tea or with a vegetable salad. I usually serve it to the table when it has cooled down.

How to make "Cod Pie"
1 Put the cod in a saucepan, pour in the milk and put the bay leaf. Send the pot over the fire and simmer for 5 minutes over low heat after boiling. Take out the fish and peel, disassemble the fillet into pieces. Do not pour out the milk. 2 Melt the butter in a saucepan, add olive oil and fry the finely chopped leek (white part only), add flour and stir, cook for 1 minute. Pour in the milk (in which the fish was cooked), stir and cook for 2 minutes. Boil 3 3 eggs in advance, grate the cheese on a fine grater, chop the parsley finely. Add all the ingredients, including the fish, to the pan with the milk and onions. Season with salt and spices to taste. When the milk in the pie filling has almost evaporated, turn off the heat and leave to cool. 4 Roll out the puff pastry thinly. Cover the baking dish with parchment, lay out one sheet of dough, put the filling on it and distribute, retreating 2 centimeters from each edge. 5 Beat 1 egg and brush over the remaining edges, cover with a second sheet of puff pastry and press the edges together until they stick together. Brush the top of the pie with an egg. 6 Bake in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 25-30 minutes, then remove from the oven and cool. Serve the cake cooled down to the table.
