It is much easier to cook pilaf in pots in the oven at home than in a cauldron on fire. It will taste different from the one prepared in the classical way, but the pilaf from the oven is also delicious. I use this simple recipe quite often and the result is always excellent. - Meat - 500 Grams
- Rice - 300 Grams
- Carrots - 2 Pieces (medium size)
- Onions - 1-2 Pieces
- Salt - 1.5 Teaspoons
- Ground black pepper - 3 Pinches
- Seasonings - 3 Pinches (your favorite or special for pilaf)
- Dill, parsley - 30 grams
- Water or broth - 1.5-2 Cups
- Vegetable oil - 4-5 Art. spoons
How to cook "Pilaf in a pot in the oven"
Soak rice in salted cold water.
Cut the meat into small pieces and lightly fry in vegetable oil in a skillet.
We clean onions and carrots. Chop the onion and grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Fry for 10 minutes.
We lay out meat, onions with carrots, spices, salt in pots.
Put rice on top of the meat. Then fill it with hot broth or hot water. The water level should be about 1.5 centimeters above the rice level. We close the pots with lids and send them to the oven at 180 degrees for about 1 hour 15 minutes.
