Candied carrots are not a new dish, although you cannot find them on the shelves of ordinary stores, but they can be found quite often at fairs! Therefore, in order not to wait for the festive festivities, we prepare candied carrots at home.
First you need to peel and wash carrots. Then cut it into cubes or strips.
First, cook the carrots. Put it in a saucepan, cover with water, bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes. Then drain the water from the pan.
In another saucepan, make sugar syrup. Melt sugar in 0.3 liter of water. Then put the carrots in the sweet syrup. Boil the carrots in the syrup for 10 minutes. Then leave to infuse for 10 hours. It is very convenient to start making candied carrots before bed and leave them overnight.
In the morning, boil the candied fruits again for ten minutes. And you can lay them out on a baking sheet or a large board. Leave to dry all day for amazing sweet candied carrots in the evening!
