Cooking description:
This wonderful dish is translated from Georgian - "family", it is intended just for a quiet dinner or lunch with the family. And if you also like simple home cooking, I will gladly tell you how to cook ojakhuri in Georgian. For this we need very few ingredients: meat, potatoes, onions and a little spices, but even with such a small composition, the dish will turn out to be amazing. True, I do not recommend cooking ojakhuri in Georgian at home for those who follow their figure, because such a dish is quite high in calories, although from time to time it is worth pampering yourself, especially since it is really insanely tasty.

How to cook "Ojakhuri in Georgian"

First, we wash the meat under running water, cut it into thin plates and slightly beat it off. Rub the meat with spices and salt, leave to marinate for half an hour in the refrigerator.

After the time has elapsed, put the beef in a pan with heated vegetable oil, cover the pan with a lid and simmer the meat over low heat.

While the meat is stewing, we peel the potatoes and cut them into wedges.

About half an hour after we put the meat to stew, you can start frying the potatoes.

Fry the potatoes until golden brown, then remove from heat, salt and season.

So, by this time the meat should be almost ready, in total it should be stewed for about an hour, stirring.

5-10 minutes before the beef is ready, put onions cut into half rings in a pan, mix everything and continue to fry. Some recipes marinate onions in vinegar before frying, but I prefer adding fresh ones.

When the onion is soft and transparent, turn off the heat and put the meat on a plate. Put fried potatoes on the sides of the meat and serve the dish to the table. Bon appetit, everyone!
